Roadstar 5" CRT TV - 12 / 240v

£14.95
sold out

A little message on the box reports this was bought “for us, by our 3 sons in 1994 for our anniversary”. Now, you’d think the three sons didn’t like them so much - with this being pretty much out of date in 1994. It was black and white, which in 1994 was almost 30 years after colour broadcasts started in the UK. It has a built in tuner, great for receiving analogue signals - of which of course, the UK doesn’t broadcast anymore.

.

Let’s not be too negative about this set. Firstly it’s very hard to find a black and white tv nowadays, plus this one can be taken on trips in your car or camper van, as it runs on 12v or 240v. It also looks to have had little or no use at all. I tested it using a Sony C7 Betamax machine, and the TV performed faultlessly. Ok, so you can watch this on your phone now in HD - but this is all about Nostalgia isn’t it? It comes with a mains plug lead.
