The Prisoner is a British television series created by Patrick McGoohan, who portrays Number Six, an unnamed British intelligence agent who is abducted and imprisoned in a mysterious coastal village after resigning from his position.

.

The first of a series of three boxed sets (each set holds three discs) covering all seventeen episodes of The Prisoner television series which was originally broadcast from the 29th September 1967 in the UK.

Within the box are three discs which come in standard card covers (different colours on each) & they are styled to look like the LP records seen for sale in the Village shop. Each set comes with a large 16 page colour book(let). Most of the text is in Japanese with numerous pictures. Most of the pictures are "production stills" which are very rarely seen. This set also includes a fairly large 'map of your village' which is around 12" x 24".The transfers are very good from nice clean prints before they were digitally "cleaned-up" for the (later) DVD releases.

These laserdisc sets have been mentioned by Six of One (The Prisoner "fan club" or appreciation society) a number of times with many Prisoner "fans" having them high up on their collectable wishlists, some will probably be in the hands of owners with no LD players - all the sets are now quite hard to find

.

.

Please note: It is impossible to play through every disc to ensure each one is perfect, therefore the grading is based on a visual inspection only.

Each item is sold as a vintage collectors item, with unknown playback conditions.
