CYP CTB-100 Multi System Time Base Corrector

£99.95

This unit was tested and working. I checked it myself, and it gave a good stable picture. On connecting it up a few days later to write this, it was totally dead! Opening up the unit, it seems the voltage regulator isn’t giving out any voltage (although it’s going in), so this will need to be replaced. It is therefore sold as “not working”.

These units change hands for £250 upwards (I’ve seen some for almost £1000!).

This is from the official information for this unit:

Correct and transfer tapes to DVD, digital, full-frame synchroniser, which replaces all the sync signals from the source.

It restores vertical and horizontal sync, which is common on worn tapes, to a stable and jitter-free picture.

Features:

• NTSC, PAL & SECAM compatible

• Restores Colour burst

• Adjusts colour, contrast, sharpness and NTSC tint

• Supports both Composite and S-Video

I’m often asked why don’t just fix the item myself if it’s so easy. The answer is I have hundreds of things that need fixing, and often items that need a little repair sell quicker and easier as other people want to have a go at fixing and servicing the equipment themselves. If you would like this item to be repaired for you, please do enquire about a price.
